The Faso Dan Fani in this collection is hand-woven by the weavers of the La Vie Meilleure association in Bobo Dioulasso. They weave with local cotton, processed on site. Each strip of fabric has its own unique pattern vibration and color shade.

The designer Zoumana Sanou sews the bags after assembling the strips, in his workshop in the Dogona district of Bobo Dioulasso.

The other traditional fabric from Bobo Dioulasso is Koko Dunda. It is a handcrafted batik where each pattern is created by a hand-dyeing process, which gives the fabric its characteristic interplay of textures and irregularities. No two pieces are identical.
